RAKwireless RAK9003 – PoE HAT for Raspberry Pi 3B+/4 with Power over Ethernet
The RAK9003 PoE HAT from RAKwireless is a Raspberry Pi add-on board designed to provide Power over Ethernet (PoE) functionality for Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ and Raspberry Pi 4. It allows both power and data transmission through a single Ethernet cable (CAT5 or higher), simplifying installations in IoT, industrial, and network gateway applications. The module connects directly to the 40-pin GPIO header, making it ideal for LoRaWAN® gateways and other remote deployments requiring reliable power delivery and reduced cabling.
- Raspberry Pi HAT format with 40-pin GPIO connector – easy plug & play installation.
- Supports IEEE 802.3af/at PoE standard (Mode A and Mode B) – up to 25 W power output (Class 0–4).
- Wide input voltage range: 42 V – 57 V DC.
- Output power: 5 V DC at up to 5 A.
- High efficiency (~83% at 48 V input and 5 V/5 A load) with 1.5 kV isolation between input and output.
- Operating temperature range: –40 °C to +85 °C – suitable for industrial environments.
