Industrial enclosures for public transport and military vehicles

Bocube Alu and Euromas Aluminium are lines of aluminum enclosures offered by Bopla for applications in railway and public bus transportation, as well as military vehicles, where the highest safety standards for materials in case of fire are required, meaning the lowest possible emission of harmful substances during combustion. The test was conducted by the renowned European laboratory RST Rail System Testing GmbH. Below are the test results.

In addition to ensuring safety regarding the paint coating along with the necessary documentation required during technical approvals, Bopla enclosures offer the highest protection against water, dust, and mechanical damage (these enclosures achieved impact protection rating IK09 according to IEC 62262 standard).

The manufacturer emphasizes once again that the IP rating for an unmachined enclosure should not be automatically transferred to a machined one, as machining results in a loss of the IP rating originally declared for the unmachined enclosure. A new test must be conducted, and the achieved IP rating should be documented. Additional corrosion protection for aluminum enclosures

At Bopla, we can also protect enclosures with an additional protective coating so that they meet the requirements of ISO 9227 (960-hour salt spray test). To meet the requirements of this standard, aluminum enclosures must undergo surface treatment and then proper painting. The following results can be achieved in the salt spray test: 1000 hours: passivation + powder coating, 336 hours: only passivation (high concentration) on uncoated aluminum.
