Euromas Aluminium

Euromas Aluminium is a classic line of enclosures offered by Bopla in 43 sizes. The housings are made of high-quality G Al. Si 12 aluminum alloy with attention to the quality of gasket assembly, which translates into meeting stringent standards for the protection of customers' end devices.

The precisely placed neoprene gasket ensures a high degree of protection, minimum IP66 according to DIN EN 60529. Alternatively, higher temperature resistance can be achieved by using a silicone gasket. A special version of the EMC seal is available on request, ensuring a conductive connection between the cover and the base. The housing meets the requirements of R1 or R7 in accordance with the DIN EN 45545-2 standard with a hazard level of HL3 and UL. E 196 706 (details in the material data sheets). The IK09 impact protection level has been achieved according to the IEC 62262 standard. It is possible to deliver unpainted housings with a gasket in the cover and protection with an additional anti-corrosion coating (so-called surtec coating). A waterproof version (SWB) is available on request, while the standard version meets railway requirements. The Euromas Aluminum series also has numerous matching mounting accessories such as hinges, plates and wall brackets (including those mounted to the mast).

In addition to ensuring safety in terms of coating with the appropriate documentation required during technical inspections, Bopla enclosures provide maximum protection against water, dust, and mechanical damage (achieving impact protection level IK09 according to IEC 62262 standards).

As per the manufacturer, we emphasize again that the IP rating of a non-machined enclosure cannot be automatically applied to a machined one, as machining results in a loss of the IP rating declared for the non-machined enclosure. It is necessary to conduct new tests and then document the achieved IP rating for the device. At Bopla, we perform such tests for typical railway or bus applications involving aluminum enclosures with conduit connectors or cable glands. Additional corrosion protection for aluminum enclosures

At Bopla, we can also secure the enclosure with an additional protective coating so that the enclosures meet the requirements of ISO 9227 (960h salt spray test). To meet this standard, aluminum enclosures must undergo surface treatment and appropriate painting. In the salt spray test, the following results can be achieved: 1000 hours: passivation + powder coating 336 hours: passivation only (high concentration) on uncoated aluminum.
