Small components with a big impact on protecting your electronics - we explain why it's so important to have pressure compensation in your enclosure!

If the enclosures are not equipped with pressure compensation elements, the interaction of temperatures with the action of water and moisture can cause moisture to be drawn through the seal into the enclosure. IP protection can no longer be guaranteed! To compensate for these pressure fluctuations caused by temperature differences, we strongly recommend using pressure compensation elements. We demonstrate this process in our laboratory experiment using a Bocube plastic enclosure and a DAE series pressure compensation valve. In real outdoor applications, water is not sucked through the hose, but is “inhaled” through the seal over multiple cycles.
