Meet the QuecPi Alpha – a powerful SBC, now available at Soyter Components

We are pleased to announce that we have added a new product from the renowned distributor Quectel to our offer. QuecPi-Alpha is a powerful SBC (single-board computer) platform designed for embedded system designers who want to quickly build a prototype or production device without having to struggle with component compatibility.

A single source of computing power
The central element of the board is the Qualcomm QCS6490 octa-core SoC with an integrated Adreno 642L/643 graphics processor. In practice, this means that QuecPi Alpha can handle both typical control code (reading data from sensors, application logic) and tasks requiring parallel image processing or simple AI models. This eliminates the need for separate accelerators.
Operating system and product life cycle
QuecPi Alpha comes with pre-configured Linux/Ubuntu* images, which simplifies the configuration of container environments, machine learning libraries and development tools. The manufacturer declares the availability of key components until 2036, which facilitates the planning of production series in long industrial cycles. The dimensions of the board are 68.70 x 108.94 x 23.00 mm, making integration into compact enclosures easier.
Multimedia characteristics
Support for 4K encoding and decoding allows the board to be used as an image processing unit in vision systems, audio-video recorders and HMI terminals. Compatibility with touch panels (TP) and HDMI/3.5 mm audio output expands the range of possible user interfaces.
