ESP32-E
( number of products: 2 )ESP32-E22 is Espressif’s first tri-band Wi-Fi 6E co-processor, designed for host-based wireless systems operating in the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz bands. As a radio co-processor (RCP), it offloads Wi-Fi and Bluetooth protocol processing from the main processor, enabling flexible system architectures using processors from Espressif or other vendors. Based on Espressif’s dual-core RISC-V platform and proprietary Wi-Fi 6E stack, the ESP32-E22 provides a stable, scalable connectivity foundation for next-generation products.

ESP32-E22 Main Features
6 GHz Wi-Fi in Espressif’s Portfolio
The ESP32-E22 introduces 6 GHz Wi-Fi support to Espressif’s product lineup. By extending Wi-Fi operation into a wider and less congested band, the device provides higher throughput, lower interference, and improved overall connection reliability. With features such as 160 MHz channel bandwidth, 2×2 MU-MIMO, Beamforming, and 1024-QAM modulation, the ESP32-E22 can achieve data rates of up to 2.4 Gbps, making it suitable for high-bandwidth and latency-sensitive applications.
Bluetooth Classic and Bluetooth 5.4 (LE)
In addition to Wi-Fi 6E, the ESP32-E22 integrates support for Bluetooth Classic (BR/EDR) and Bluetooth Low Energy 5.4. This ensures compatibility with legacy Bluetooth devices while also supporting modern BLE use cases with improved spectral efficiency and better coexistence. Carefully optimized radio coexistence mechanisms ensure stable performance when Wi-Fi and Bluetooth operate concurrently.
RCP Architecture and High-Speed Host Interfaces
The ESP32-E22 is purpose-built as an RCP, handling the complete Wi-Fi and Bluetooth stacks — including authentication, security, scanning, roaming, and Bluetooth host functionality. This architecture gives developers greater flexibility in system design, enables performance scaling, and reduces the processing load on the host. To support diverse product designs, the ESP32-E22 offers multiple high-speed host interfaces, such as PCIe 2.1 and SDIO 3.0.
High-Performance Connectivity Module
The connectivity subsystem in the ESP32-E22 module is based on a dual-core RISC-V processor developed by Espressif. This architecture has been optimized for efficient protocol handling, real-time task scheduling, and multi-radio coexistence, allowing the device to deliver consistent performance across three bands in a wide range of deployment scenarios. With its advanced radio design and carefully tuned firmware, the ESP32-E22 ensures reliable connectivity in demanding wireless applications.
